The hydraulic discharge press system is designed to discharge viscous non-free flowing by gravity having several million centipoises viscosity from mixing tub / tank.
Working: A heavy follower plate is lowered into a mixing tub by hydraulic ram powered by oil / air hydraulic power pack. As it descends under pressure the plate pushes the viscous / thixotripic product out through discharge valve. Seals or wipers clean the tank as the plate lowers and also stop material by passing through follower plate.
Normally Tank and Ram follower is made of carbon steel or S.S. or special metals, while Ram follower O Rings are made of silicone, neoprene or viton with single or double ‘O’ Rings.
